Hello everyone! My name is Hillary Kurtz and I am a Second Grade teacher at Germantown Elementary. I cannot wait to start the school year and get to know each and every one of the students and their families. I feel so privileged to be a part of Bulldog Country! I have always known that teaching was what I would be doing when I was an "adult". To be able to make a difference in a child's life is something that I have always dreamt of doing.
I graduated from Okawville High School in 2011 and then received my Associates of Arts from Kaskaskia College. After Kaskaskia College, I was accepted into the Early Childhood Program at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville where I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelors in Science in Early Childhood Education.
My husband and I have a three year old son named Walker and an 8 month old daughter, Hudsyn. They are the center of our world!
I feel honored to be a part of Germantown Elementary and I am so eager to meet you and your students!
