Behavior System Apples
Students move to this level on the third continuance of inappropriate behavior. At this point the student will be sent to Mrs. Becker’s office where higher consequences will be in store. There will also be a phone call to the parent/guardian as well as a behavior slip sent home to sign and return.
Students move to this level on their second behavior warning. At this point a email will be sent out to the parent or guardian. The student will also meet with the teacher to reflect on the situation that he or she did, why he or she did it, and what he or she and I can do to help it not occur again. There will also be a behavior slip sent home for the parent/guardian to sign and return.
Students move to this level on their first behavior warning. At this point a behavior slip will be sent home for the parent or guardian to sign and retrun. The student can make their way back to ‘Ready To Learn’ throughout the day, but there will still be a slip needed to be signed.
All students will start each day on ‘Ready To Learn’. This will ensure the students that they are all ready to take on the day with a positive behavior.
All students have the opportunity each day to be on the apple, ‘Keep It Up’. This is a great place to be! Students will achieve this level of behavior when going above and beyond in the classroom by doing something amazing. However, all students should be itching to be an outstanding apple.
Students achieve this level when I spot them doing something outstanding. When on this level at the end of the day, the student will earn a “punch” on their apple card. This means that any behavior mishaps ruin the chances of earning a punch. When a student receives ten punches on their apple card, he or she will earn the right to draw a ticket with a reward that the students will create.
